Di’s Probiotic Dukkah is the Egyptian style condiment consisting of herbs, seeds and spices but is based on the probiotic powder made from the pulp from the lacto fermented kvass. It is typically used as a dip with sourdough bread or fresh vegetables for an hors d'œuvre. Also used sprinkled on soups, eggs, avocado, salad, meat, dips, or cream cheese. In fact this Dukkah adds flavour  and crunch to all meals. It's also a great way to enhance nutritional value - Go ahead, sprinkle it on and enjoy the blend of kvass powder, spices and seeds.
Fermented fruits and vegetables can be used as a potential source of probiotics as they harbour several lactic acid bacteria such as Lactobacillus plantarum, L. pentosus, L. brevis, L. acidophilus, L. fermentum, Leuconostoc fallax, and L. mesenteroides. As a whole, the traditionally fermented fruits and vegetables not only serve as food supplements but also attribute towards health benefits.
