You may be familiar with the term probiotic, which means “for life” (pro = for and biotic = relating to life). Alas, fermented foods are alive.
INGREDIENTS AND METHOD
Lacto fermented, fresh organic Ginger, Turmeric, Galangal, black pepper, lemon myrtle leaf, lacto fermented pineapple, sea salt, filtered water, fused with Jun Tea. It's a unique, all-natural blend with countless health benefits and a delicious, complex flavour..
FLAVOUR
Galangal is closely related to ginger and turmeric, and all three roots are used fresh, fermented or dried to add flavour and nutrients with super health benefits.
Ginger offers a fresh, sweet-yet-spicy taste, while galangal's flavour is sharper, spicier, and slightly more peppery, I would describe the aroma like pine needles. Turmeric has the most pungent and bitter flavour of the three spices. They are a great base & the hero of this drink.
The pineapple kvass and lemon myrtle leaf add a lovely fresh note to this popular drink.
HEALTH BENEFITS
This Fun Ginger drink contains probiotic bacteria including Lactobacillus, Streptococcus and Micrococcus.
Ginger, Turmeric and Galangal (GTG) all offer unique benefits for the body - from anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties to helping improve digestion.
Galangal, ginger and turmeric root are rich in antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties that may reduce joint stiffness and pain.
Galangal is particularly rich in a group of antioxidants called polyphenols. Apart from anti inflammatory properties it also contains antifungal properties.
A type of flavonoid found in galangal root, as well as other properties that present in the spice, has some promising anti-cancer effects on a number of different types of cancer, including melanoma, pancreatic cancer, hepatoma, colon cancer, and more.
